About LEDA

Welcome to  the newest USDF Group Member Organization (GMO), Little Egypt Dressage Association (LEDA).  Our goals are to sponsor equestrian educational activities and dressage schooling shows in the River Region of Western Kentucky, Southern Illinois, and SE Missouri. LEDA Bylaws can be found here.

Please note that  information concerning the Board Members of LEDA is listed on this website under "Contacts". We are very interested in your suggestions of topics for the newsletter, website,  and your suggestions for LEDA activities in general.  Please feel free to suggest ideas for clinicians, educational activities, dressage shows, or other events that you feel would interest you and other members of the club. In addition, please tell your friends about LEDA and encourage them to participate in our activities and become club members.

"Little Egypt" has historical significance and describes the River Region of S. Illinois and some of Western KY as the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi reminded early settlers of descriptions of the Nile Delta, and there are town such as Cairo, Thebes, etc.

There is also a connection to when Abraham Lincoln "came to Egypt" during his run for President.  LEDA’s mission is to promote dressage and other equine activities and will serve riders from Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky as well as Southern Missouri.
